A recurring theme in all coming of age flicks is make overs. Becoming someone else only to realize who you were before was sooo much better. I love a make over sometimes overhauling your image is exactly what you need to shake things up. I'm a strong believer in being who you are however I used to be a goth, emo, punk, chav I've tried all the styles known to man until I found my own. And although the days of green jeans and backcombed hair are well behind me doesn't mean my change was for the worse. On screen make over usually involve a HUGE change of attitude however in real life a make over doesn't change WHO you are. I've compiled a few of my favorite make-overs for your enjoyment..
Billy.. Honestly he was cuter as a punk and his preppy imaged lasted all of about one episode but he did pull it off nicely. One thing that never made sense was were did he find these clothes he was meant to be a struggling kid trying his absolute best to stay out of prison and off drugs though his (cute) wayward brother tried his absolute best to lead him astray. Seriously its a touching tale, however that is some very expensive very nice clothing his wearing here... This does not make sense to me.. However who cares great clothes right?
Oh Audrey.. My Fair Lady is a great film I have to admit. Even in the terrible outfit she looks amazing. But I love her white dress.. She is a petite woman but all the jewelry doesnt over shadow her at all.. Impressive.
Princess Diaries is full of transformation as this young girl because a princess.. BLAH BLAH BLAH. It is impossible to make Anne Hathaway look bad but valient effort with the fizzy hair and eyebrows. I love her big white puffy dress... Its fab, if a little weddingy.
